Thought For Today

Do not slander a servant to his master, lest he curse you, and you be held guilty. Proverbs 30:10

Lord this is such good advice. It is so easy to find faults in others instead of looking within to see where we ourselves need to be changed into Your likeness.

Thank You for the power You give us to change.

Thank You for asking us to come to You with every request…..small or large they are all the same to You.

Oh how blessed we are Lord. Thank You!

Two things I ask of thee; deny them not to me before I die; Remove far from me falsehood and lying: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, “Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor, and steal, and profane the name of my God. Proverbs 30:7 – 9

Lord in reading these verses it sure helps us understand how fortunate we are to have You in our lives.

Agur was very honest with You Lord as he asked for the things he needed in his life. We too can come to You with our requests knowing that You will hear us too. You are there and we thank You.

Lord….thank You for teaching us that what You have said is true and there is nothing we need to add.

Thank You for a year …a new beginning … when we can start out fresh listening to You as we walk and talk with You. Together Lord we can be all You are calling us to be. Thank You for Your unconditional love that calls us on to become more and more like You.

We love You Lord and are excited to begin a New Year with You. Thank You for being with us each step of the way.

Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Proverbs 30:5

Lord what a wonderful verse to end this year on. Truly You are our refuge and our shield. Thank You that we can come to You with our praise and our needs and You are there to hear us 24/7. You are always with us and will continue to be with us every moment of our lives on earth and into eternity. We have much to thank You for and look forward to the joys You have for us in the New Year. Thank You for Your promises and the peace that passes all human understanding that You so freely give.

We are still in the book of Proverbs but there is this note before this next chapter: The words of Agur son of Jakeh of Massa.

The man says to Ithiel, to Ithiel and Ucal: Surely I am too stupid to be a man. I have not the understanding of a man. I have not learned wisdom, or have I knowledge of the Holy One. Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name and what is his son’s name? Surely you know! Proverbs 30:1 – 4

Thank You Lord for knowing all things.

Thank You that we can know You.

Thank You for helping us learn more and more about You.

Thank You for prayers and the power in praying. You are there and we thank You.

Many seek the favor of a ruler but from the Lord a man gets justice. An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous but he whose way is straight is an abomination to the wicked. Proverbs 29:26, 27

Lord how wonderful it has been to think about Your birth and to celebrate it. Yes, it is a busy time Lord but it is certainly a very special kind of busyness. A time to give gifts ….a time to think about the greatest gift ever given and rejoice. Thank You for coming to earth as a baby to show us how to live from being a child to an adult. Oh how we praise and thank You.

Lord I am so thankful that as a little girl I trusted You with my life. I asked You to guide and direct me. Solomon is warning his son to beware of those that are evil and to beware of those that run with them.

Thank You for coming to earth as a baby to experience what we experience in our lives. You show us the way Lord and we thank You.
