Thought For Today

O Lord, rebuke me not in Thy anger, nor chasten me in Thy wrath. Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; O Lord heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul also is sorely troubled. But Thou, O Lord —how long? Psalms 6:1 – 3

Lord …..thank You that we know the rest of David’s story and the victory that was his because he humbly cried out to You.

Thank You for always being there for us too when we cry out to You. Thank You for never leaving or forsaking us. Thank You for the angels in our lives that come to us at just the right times. Thank You that we can ALWAYS call on You.

Thank You Lord.

For Thou dost bless the righteous, O Lord; Thou dost cover him with favor as with a shield. Psalms 5:12

Thank You Lord for blessing us that Love You. I certainly feel blessed and I thank You. Thank You for covering us with Your favor as a shield. You are with us Lord each moment of every day and we thank You.

But let all who take refuge in Thee rejoice, let them ever sing for joy; and do Thou defend them, that those who love Thy name may exult in Thee. Psalms 5:11

Thank You Lord that we can exult in You. Thank You for songs of joy. Oh how wonderful it feels to sing songs that praise and honor You. Thank You for loving us and helping us through each moment of every day. We love You Lord and thank You.

Lord thank You for helping us want to be more and more like You. When we seek You we find You. When we want to become more like You we ask and You show us the way. Thank You.

Lord …David was crying out to You for help. He ask You to make the way straight before him. He wanted and needed Your help. He ask You.

Lord that is our cry and our desire today. Show us the way. We are listening Lord. Thank You for leading us each step of the way. What a gift. What a blessing.

Thank You Lord that we live in a county where we can freely gather and worship You. It is a wonderful gift to be with others that love You and worship You. You are our rock. You are our strength. We love You Lord and we thank You.

Lord we love You and we know that You love us unconditionally. We have much to thank You for when You have control of our lives and help us follow Your will. What joy and peace we have as we follow You.

Thank You for the privilege of enjoying the 4th of July celebrations. We are free to worship You and we thank You.

O Lord, in the morning thou dost hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for thee, and watch. Psalms 5:3

Lord how wonderful it is in the morning to wake up with a grateful heart. David knew that feeling and was grateful.

Thank You for starting our day with You. What peace that brings to know that You will be walking with us through our day.

Thank You for Your peace and joy. The gift is ours and we thank You.

Give ear to my words, O Lord; give heed to my groaning. Hearken to the sound of my cry, for to Thee do I pray. Psalms 5:1, 2

Lord…Thanks You for hearing our cries just as You heard David’s cries.

As we continue to read what David wrote in the Psalms we see over and over how he cried out to You. We too need You Lord and cry out to You for help and strength. You are there and we thank You.

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for thou alone, O Lord, makest me dwell in safety. Psalms 4:8

Lord ….David was running from his son that was trying to kill him and yet he could lie down in peace. What an example he is for all of us. He trusted You with his life. He knew You were with him. He had peace.

Thank You Lord that You have provided that same peace for us today. We too can lie down and sleep in peace. You are with us just as You were with David.

We have much to thank and praise You for Lord. Thank You for peace.
