Thought For Today

When I look at Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars which Thou hast established; what is man that Thou art mindful of him, and the son of man that Thou dost care for him? Psalms 8:3, 4

Lord how thankful we are for the beauty of our earth. There is so much to thank You for as we look around and enjoy. The beauty of the sun rise and sun set, the rainbow. There is always something that catches our eye and makes us thank You. We can never thank You enough.

Thank You Lord.

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Thy name in all the earth! Psalms 8:1

Thank You Lord that we along with David can call You our Lord. We are Your children and You love us unconditionally. You are there for us and we thank and praise You. We love You Lord. Thank You for Your many gifts and blessings.

O let the evil of the wicked come to an end but establish Thou the righteous, Thou who triest the minds and hearts, Thou righteous God. My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge and a God who has indignation every day. Psalms 7:9 – 11

Thank You Lord for being our shield. David has cried out to You because he was being sought after to be killed. He wanted the evil to stop. He needed Your protection.

Lord we are thankful that we are not in that situation today but we certainly need Your shield. We need Your unconditional love and we need Your protection. Thank You that we can come to You 24 hours every day. You are there and we are grateful.

Arise, O Lord, in Thy anger, lift Thyself up against the fury of my enemies; awake, O my God, Thou hast appointed a judgment. Psalms 7:6

Lord, David wanted Your help and was crying out to You for it. He wanted You to take care of his enemies. Thank You for being there to hear David and thank You for hearing us too.

Thank You for being our Lord and our Savior that hears us just as You heard David.

O Lord my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands, if I have requited my friend with evil or plundered my enemy without cause, let the enemy pursue me and overtake me, and let him trample my life to the ground, and lay my soul in the dust. Psalms 7:3-5

Thank You Lord for giving us the wisdom to search our own souls. David wanted to be sure that all he had done was what You had wanted him to do. He wanted to be sure the pain he was going through was not caused by the errors of his ways.

Thank You Lord for giving us a conscience. Thank You for expose those things in our lives that need Your help in changing. This life is a journey and we MUST hold Your hand tightly. Thank You for walking with us each step of the way. We love You Lord and our eyes are fixed on You. Thank You for ALWAYS being with us.

O Lord my God, in Thee do I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers, and deliver me, lest like a lion they rend me, dragging me away, with none to rescue. Psalms 7:1, 2

Lord …David was still crying out to You to be rescued from those that were trying to kill him. He is trusting You while waiting.

Lord …David is a great example for us to observe. It isn’t easy to wait and wonder when Your answer will come. We like David become impatient and want to be rescued immediately. You helped David and You help us. We find much to thank You for. Answers come. You are there working out each detail. Thank You!!!

Depart from me, all you workers of evil; for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord accepts my prayers. All my enemies shall be ashamed and sorely troubled; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment. Psalms 6:8 – 10

Lord …David learned that You were with him. After his weeping ended he saw his deliverance. He knew You had taken care of his problem of the evil men that were trying to kill him.

Lord there are times when we too have to get through the crying and disappointments to see You working in our lives. You are there. You care. Over and over we have experienced Your love and compassion. Oh how we thank and praise You.

David continued….. “I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping. My eye wastes away because of grief, it grows weak because of all my foes.” Psalms 6:6, 7

Lord sometimes we are in phases of our lives that are very difficult. Thank You for being there for us. Thank You for hearing David’s cry for help and thank You for hearing our cries for help too.

Turn, O Lord, save my life; deliver me for the sake of Thy steadfast love. For in death there is no remembrance of Thee; in Sheol who can give Thee praise? Psalms 6:4, 5

Lord….David wanted to live and give You the praise and glory while on earth. His son was trying to kill him. He needed Your intervention and help and was crying out to You for help. We know the rest of the story that You did help and he lived.

Thank You for always being there for us to cry out for Your help. We like David know we need You. Thank You Lord for hearing our cries. You are there and we thank You.
