Thought For Today

The nations have sunk in the pit which they made; in the net which they hid has their own foot been caught. The Lord has made Himself known, He has executed judgment; the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands. Psalms 9:15, 16

Lord what comfort there is in knowing You are always watching over us.

Thank You for Your peace that passes all human understanding.

Thank You for Your joy.

Oh how we love You Lord and thank You for another day.

Thank You Lord.

Be gracious to me, O Lord! Behold what I suffer from those who hate me, O Thou who liftest me up from the gates of death, that I may recount all Thy praises, that in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may rejoice in Thy deliverance. Psalms 9:13 – 15.

Lord what a wonderful gift it is to stop and remember all the many times You have been there for us.

David was remembering the many times You keep him alive.

Thank You for the many times You have been with us and protected us.

The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know Thy name put their trust in Thee, for Thou, O Lord, hast not forsaken those who seek Thee. Psalms 9:9, 10

Thank You Lord for watching over us. These verses were written a long time ago and You are still the same Lord today. You are still a ‘stronghold’ for each one of us that loves You.

Thank You Lord for being with us today. We love You Lord and thank You.

Thank You for seeing every motive and every desire.

Thank You for seeing and knowing how much we love You and want to serve You.

Thank You for Your unconditional love.

Thou hast rebuked the nations, Thou hast destroyed the wicked; Thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever. The enemy has vanished in everlasting ruins; their cities Thou hast rooted out; the very memory of them has perished. Psalms 9:5, 6

Lord ….we know that You are in control and You know all that is happening in our world. Thank You for another day. Thank You for being with us. Thank You for helping us follow Your pathway. We love You Lord and thank You for Your unconditional love for us.

Lord how wonderful it is to know where our strength comes from. David knew You had taken him through a very difficult time in his life. He knew You were there for him.

Thank You Lord that You are there for us today too. You are there with Your comfort. You are there with Your answers. You are there to bring peace when we don’t understand. You never leave us or forsake us. You are there and we thank You.

Lord…we do give thanks for all You have given us. We are Your children because You gave Your life as a gift to us. You call each one of us to come follow You. Thank You for the joy of loving and serving You.

O Lord our Lord, how majestic is Thy name in all the earth! Psalms 8:6 – 9

Thank You Lord for the beauty of the earth. It is ours to enjoy.

Thank You for giving each of us our unique personalities and preferences. There is no end to our diversity and what we enjoy. Just when I think I have heard it all Lord someone tells me something else about the earth that they treasure and enjoy. We are truly blessed to live on this awesome planet and we thank You.

Lord what a privilege it is to worship You. Each day as we look at all the blessings and gifts that are ours we thank You. You are our Lord. You are our savior. You love us unconditionally. Oh how we praise and thank You.
