For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent, He will set me high upon a rock. Psalms 27:5

Thank You Lord for David’s words of comfort. He knew where his strength came from. He told himself what would happen when he got into a bind. He knew You would rescue him.

Thank You Lord that You are with us to help us when we go through difficult times. We know You are with us. We know the comfort You bring. We know we can trust You because we have seen Your miracles many times. Oh how we thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. Psalms 27:4

Lord how fortunate we are here in America to be able to worship openly. It is wonderful to gather with other believers and praise and thank You for our many gifts. David wanted to dwell in You house forever and that is my desire too Lord. You are there… right in our midst as we thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. Psalms 27:3

Lord…. like David our confidence is in You. Thank You for taking our fears and replacing them with Your peace.

Lord as we watch You work in our lives our confidence in You grows. Thank You for another day to love and serve You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

When evildoers assail me, uttering slanders against me, my adversaries and foes, they shall stumble and fall. Psalms 27:2

Lord …David certainly knew what it was like to have evildoers against him. He knew that You were his only hope. He clung to You and we read that over and over in these Psalms. You were with him just as you are with us.

Thank You Lord for prayer and the peace it brings. Truly it is a peace that passes all human understanding and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Another Psalm of David….. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1

Lord …You are our light and our salvation. You are our strength. You are our wisdom. Your peace replaces our fear. We know You are ALWAYS with us to comfort and to cheer. Oh how we praise and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

My foot stands on level ground; in the great congregation I will bless the Lord. Psalms 26:12

Lord we too bless You. Thank You for today. Thank You for the joy that is ours because You are always with us. Thank You for Your love. We love You Lord and walk forth with a confidence that only You can provide.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

David continued …. Sweep me not away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, men in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes. But as for me, I walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me. Psalms 26:9 – 11

Lord how wonderful it is to let You guide and direct our lives. Thank You for showing us Your way. Thank You for changing us moment by moment into Your image. We love You Lord and are so grateful to be able to follow You each step of our lives.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

O, Lord, I love the habitation of Thy house, and the place where Thy glory dwells. Psalms 26:8

Lord ….I like David love Your house. It is truly a gift to gather with other believers and worship together. Oh yes we can worship You alone and do that too but to worship together is a gift You have given us. I am so thankful for that freedom we have here in the United States. Thank You for reminding us that where two or three are gathered together ‘there You are in the midst.’ We feel Your presence. We feel Your love. We know You are there. Oh how we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

David continued …. I do not sit with false men, nor do I consort with dissemblers; I hate the company of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked. I wash my hands in innocence, and go about Thy alter, O Lord, singing aloud a song of thanksgiving, and tell all Thy wondrous deeds. Psalms 26:4 – 7

Lord we like David thank You for all Your blessings. Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Illinois. Because it was so warm the day before the snow stuck to the trees and everything. It has continued to get colder so the snow stayed on the trees and everything. We saw Your handiwork Lord and marveled at its beauty.

Lord…..on this Valentine’s Day I want to thank You for Your unconditional love for me. I love You Lord and thank You for Your love.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind. For Thy steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in faithfulness to Thee. Psalms 26:2, 3

Lord…David was still crying out to You for help. Now he is telling You why You should help him. He wants to let You know that has been faithful to You and Your steadfast love has not gone unnoticed.

Thank You Lord that You already knew all these things about David. You know our every thought. You know our desires. You know our doubts and our fears. You know all our shortcomings. You know everything about us and yet You still love us unconditionally. Oh how we praise and thank You. What a gift! What a joy. What a blessing.

Thank You Lord.

Amen
