Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to Thee; at a time of distress, in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. Thou art a hiding place for me, Thou preservest me from trouble; Thou dost encompass me with deliverance. Psalms 32:6, 7

Lord our eyes are focused upon You. We are offering our prayers to You. We are asking for solutions and guidance. We are asking for protection.

And why are we asking for these things? Because we know You are a miracle working God. You love Your people. You are calling us to pray and trust You.

Thank You for the gift of peace that passes our own human understanding that comes to us when we trust You. It is awesome and we praise You and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

When I declared not my sin, my body wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to Thee, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord;” then Thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin. Psalms 32:3 – 5

Oh the price that sin costs Lord. David was feeling the pain of his sin until he confessed it. Once confessed the freedom came. The guilt went away. He was free once again to enjoy Your presence in His life.

Thank You Lord for the freedom Your unconditional love brings us.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. Psalms 32:1, 2

How grateful we are Lord that You came to earth as our sacrifice and to cleanse us and make us whole. Truly our sin is forgiven. We are free to love and serve You. You ARE showing us the way.

And thank You Lord for loving us UNCONDITIONALLY as we walk with You today.

It is in going through times of testing like these that we find out just how close You are. You ARE our ROCK. We can TRUST You. We CAN have Your PEACE in the midst of the storm. Oh how we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

AMEN

Love the Lord, all you His saints! The Lord preserves the faithful but abundantly requites him who acts haughty. Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord! Psalms 31:23, 24

Thank You Lord for helping us ‘be strong’. Thank You too for helping us ‘take courage’. We wait on You Lord as we pray for Your healing for our nation. Thank You for the insight You are giving to those that are working on a cure.

We are in Your hands Lord and we thank You for the peace that only You can give.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Blessed be the Lord, for He has wondrously shown His steadfast love to me when I was beset as in a besieged city. I had said in my alarm, “I am driven far from Thy sight.” But Thou didst hear my supplications, when I cried to Thee for help. Psalms 31:2l, 22

Thank You Lord for always hearing our cries. David thought You didn’t hear him until the answer came. Lord we so often get impatient too and wonder where You are. And then that still small voice within says….’Peace My child….I am with You.’ Joy floods our soul and we thank You for ALWAYS being with us.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

In the covert of Thy presence Thou hidest them (who fear Thee) from the plots of men; Thou holdest them safe under Thy shelter from the strife of tongues. Psalms 31:20

Lord…David is still thanking You for Your protection. We thank You today for our protection.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

O how abundant is Thy goodness, which Thou hast laid up for those who fear Thee, and wrought for those who take refuge in Thee, in the sight of the sons of men! Psalms 31:19

Lord how grateful we are that we can take refuge in You. Thank You for being with us. Thank You for Your peace and contentment in the little things we find to thank You for while in isolation. You are all around with Your gifts of joy. The birds sing….the squirrels play tag in the yard…the flowers are springing forth. Gifts to enjoy Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

David continued …… My times are in Thy hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors! Let Thy face shine on Thy servant; save me in Thy steadfast love! Let me not be put to shame, O Lord, for I call on Thee; let the wicked be put to shame, let them go dumbfounded to Sheol. Let the lying lips be dumb, which speak insolently against the righteous in pride and contempt. Psalms 31:15 – 18

Lord how well we know our lives are in Your hands. There are so many things happening today that are hard to understand but we like David know that You are in control. You are our rock and our trust is in You. We love You Lord. Thank You for hearing and answering our prayers.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was in Galilee, saying, “The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. Luke 24:6, 7

Lord….what a day of celebration yesterday was in spite of all that is going on with the coronavirus. Your presence was so real with all of us as we rejoiced in knowing You were with us. You are alive and You ARE in control. Oh what peace there is in knowing how much You love us. You came to earth to show us Your love and that same love is with us today. Oh how we rejoice and praise You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

And He (Jesus) withdrew from them (the disciples) about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will but Yours, be done. Luke 22:41, 42

Lord, today is what we call Good Friday. It is a time to remember and thank You for dying for us. It is a time to remember all You went through before You rose again. I am so glad we know the end of the story. I am so thankful for the price You paid. Thank You for the victory that was won on the cross when You gave Your all for us. How can we ever thank and praise You enough. We love You Lord and humbly thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen
