Thought For Today

Come, O sons, listen to me, I will teach you the fear of the Lord. What man is there who desires life, and covets many days, that he may enjoy good? Psalms 34:11, 12

Thank You Lord for parents that teach their children to love You. I was a child that was blessed to have parents that loved You. The knowledge imparted to me as a child is with me today. What a great privilege it is for us that have a child or children to teach them to love You.

Thank You for Your joy and peace.

O fear the Lord, you His saints, for those who fear Him have no want! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Psalms 34:9, 10

Thank You Lord for the many gifts You have given us. Thank You for our freedom. Thank You for helping us see how much we have forgotten to thank You for. So much Lord we were taking for granted. Our lives have been changed. Our eyes have been opened. We are humbled. Thank You for being with us today in a very special new way. We love You Lord and thank You.

O taste and see that the Lord is good! Happy is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalms 34:8

Lord…David knew what it was like to trust in You and take refuge in You. He learned You were his only refuge.

Thank You for being there for us during these difficult days. We too know that You are our refuge. We too are happy that You are always there for us. Thanks You for the strength You give us each moment of every day.

Lord … we thank You for verses like this one that show us how You are taking care of us. You are here with us. You see all that is going on here on earth….. the earth that You created. We know You love us Lord and are guiding us as we look to You. Thank You for Your presence. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for Your protection.

Thank You Lord for hearing us when we cry out to You. Thank You for helping us through all our troubles. Thank You for the privilege of coming to You in prayer. Oh how we need You Lord. Thank You for ALWAYS being with us.

Thank You Lord that it is YOU that puts the smile on our face and give us a radiance. You are the light in our lives. We look to You for direction and marvel at the way You guide us through each day. Thank You for Your protection. We love You Lord and thank You for Your peace.

Let Thy steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in Thee. Psalms 33:22

Lord once again David talks about Your steadfast love. A love that never changes. An unconditional love that loves every part of us. A love that causes us to change those things in our lives that are not pleasing to You. A love that knows no limits. A love that picks us up when we fall and sets our feet upon solid ground once again. Oh how we thank and praise You for Your STEADFAST love.

Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and shield. Yea, our heart is glad in Him because we trust in His holy name. Psalms 33:20, 21

Lord these verses have been so encouraging in light of all that is going on in our world today. They certainly remind us who is in control. They also show us Your power and Your love. You are our HELP and You are our SHIELD. And yes ….our heart is glad and we can rejoice in Your holy name. You ARE with us. You ARE guiding us. You ARE showing us the way. Oh how we praise and thank You.

A king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. The war horse is a vain hope for victory, and by its great might it cannot save. Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love, that He may deliver their soul from death, and keep them alive in famine. Psalms 33:16 – 19

Lord what great peace these verses give us as we pray and trust in You. Truly Your eye is upon us. We need not fear. You are there. What a comfort. Thank You for Your steadfast love.
