The children of men ….. They feast on the abundance of Thy house, and Thou givest them drink from the river of Thy delights. For with Thee is the fountain of life; in Thy light do we see light. Psalms 36:8, 9
Lord thank You for Your light that shines so brightly. Thank You for showing us Your way. Our lives are so different when we look to You for direction. You are there showing us the way.

How precious is Thy steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of Thy wings. Psalms 36:7
Lord …. David was writing out of the deeps of the gratitude of his heart. There is so much joy in this little verse when we dwell upon it. Precious is Your steadfast love. A love that never quits loving. A love that is unconditional and so unearned. A love that picks us up when we stumble and fall and dusts the dirt off our knees and continues to love us and help us find our way.
You are our rock. You are our refuge. We love You Lord and thank and praise You for Your love for us.

Oh Lord how we thank and praise You for saving us. Thank You for coming to earth to not only redeem us but to also show us how to live. Thank You for changing us from the inside out. Moment by moment our walk with You changes us. Oh how we thank You.

David continues talking about the wicked….. For he flatters himself in his own eyes that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated. The words of his mouth are mischief and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good. He plots mischief while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he spurns not evil. Thy steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Thy faithfulness to the clouds. Psalms 36:2 – 5
Lord …David saw the evil in the people without You in their lives and we see that evil too. You are still here loving us and calling us to ‘come follow You.’ Oh how fortunate we are to be able to listen to You and follow Your leading. Truly Your steadfast love is all around us blessing us. David knew that love and over and over in these Psalms rejoices over all You have done in his own life.
Thank You Lord that we too can rejoice and praise You for all Your blessings and gifts. Your unconditional love for us bring peace and joy and we thank You. We love You Lord and thank and praise You.

Lord how thankful we are when You answer our prayers the way we want them answered.
That is what David is saying here….’if, Lord, You answer my prayer and save my life all the people will rejoice along with me. They will know what a great thing You have done.’
Lord …You did answer. His life was saved. He did praise You along with all the people. It was a wonderful gift.
Thank You for prayer. Thank You for answered prayers. Thank You for ALWAYS hearing us when we pray.

David continued praying to the Lord ….. Let them be put to shame and confusion altogether who rejoice at my calamity! Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me! Psalms 35:26
Lord it is very difficult to be in the place David was in. He needed to be rescued. He was crying out to You for help because he knew You were the only hope he had. He was telling You how to help him. And since we know the end of his story we know You were with him all the way.
We thank You today for being with us. We thank You for hearing our cries. We thank You for answers that often even amaze us as we pray. We love You Lord and thank You for Your unconditional love.

Oh to be like You Lord. Full of Your love and forgiveness.
David was having a very difficult time and wanted You to help him through it. He didn’t want others to feel as if they had won when he was trusting that You would save him.
Thank You Lord for asking us to bring all our needs and requests to You. Nothing is too big and nothing is to small. You want us to come to You with ALL our requests. Thank You for loving us and helping us each moment of every day.

Lord how wonderful that we can call You … my God ….and my Lord… David was calling out to You in desperation. He knew without Your help he would die. It has always been interesting to me how strong You have placed the desire within us is to live. We know that when we die we will go to be with You and yet there is the strong, strong desire to survive here on earth.
Thank You Lord for Your love. We love You Lord and are grateful today for the life You have given us.

Lord …David is very expressive when he pours out his hearts desires to You. We read about it in our scriptures yesterday and here he is again telling You about those that are doing wrong things to him again. He went through some very difficult times in his journey here on earth.
Thank You Lord for being with us just as you were with David. We too have gone through some difficult things and have called out to You to rescue us. Thank You for being with us and helping us trust You.
