Thought For Today

So be strong and courageous!  Do not be afraid and do not panic before them.  For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you.  He will neither fail you nor abandon you.  Deuteronomy 31:6

Thank You Lord for verses like this that encourage our hearts.  Thank You for the promise that ‘YOU will neither fail us or abandon us.’  You are ALWAYS with us to help in ALL situations.  Oh…how we praise and thank You for Your power and Your unconditional love.  We never need to panic or be afraid because You are always there helping us to be strong and courageous.  There is so much in this verse to encourage us.  Thank You for ‘personally going ahead of us’ and making the crooked pathways straight.  We love You Lord and trust in You …our rock and our redeemer.

Thank You Lord for the rest You provide in life when the trials seem to overwhelm us.  Thank You for the assurance that You know and You care.  Thank You for never giving us more than we can handle.  YOU are there!  You do provide.  You take us from fear to faith and how we thank and praise You.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.    John 3:16

Thank You Lord for showing us Your love for us be sending Your only Son to earth to provide eternal life for us.  Today is a day to celebrate love here on earth and we thank You for today.  It is Valentine’s Day.  BUT in thinking about the joys of today my heart remembered all You gave us when You came to earth.  You gave us the greatest Valentine’s gift we could ever have and we thank YOU!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13

Lord how we all thank You for hope.  Such a small word that changes our lives when we look forward to something with ‘hope.’  Thank You for showing us in this verse the gift we were given when You left this earth and gave us the Holy Spirit to help us through life.  Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit to help us be OVERFLOWING with ‘hope’.  Thank You for Your ‘hope’ today as we trust You to fill us full of Your peace and joy.

The earth and all its fulness are the Lord’s, the world and all who live in it; for He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.  Psalms 24:1, 2

Thank You Lord for the beautiful earth You have provided for us.  Thank You too for knowing all about each of us that live in Your beautiful world.  What a comfort to know that You know everything that is going on in this world today.  BUT even a bigger comfort for me is to know that You know just what I need today and will show me what to do and say.  I love You Lord and thank You for Your peace and joy today.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.  Isaiah 41:10

Thank You Lord for taking our fears and replacing them with Your ‘presence and Your strength.’  Each time we see Your miracles it certainly does ‘strengthen’ us just as You promised.  Thank You that fear and faith cannot abide together.  As our faith grows our fear shrinks because we learn You ARE with us helping us and making us stronger.  Thank You for Your peace and Your joy today as we let go of each fear and replace it with trust.  We love You Lord and thank You.

Lord how can we ever thank You enough for the power You give us.  I love hearing You say …’when I am weak ….You are strong.’  Thank You for being our strength and our joy.  You are always there helping us during our happy time and during our sad time.  ‘Your peace that passes all human understanding’ is amazing and so welcome in our lives.  Your miracles are all around us.  Thank You for giving us eyes to see Your blessings and hearts to thank You for them.  We love You Lord and praise and thank You.

Thank You Lord for Your power to change us in an instant.  It happened to me at age 8 when I knelt and ask You to come into my heart.  I knew that something had happened in my life.  I felt different.  I knew I WAS different.  I knew You were my Heavenly Father and You WOULD take care of me and watch over me.  I knew I wanted to be like You and I knew I wanted to listen to You and obey.  That inner feeling and confidence in You has never changed and oh how thankful I have always been in knowing You would always be with me.   You would always provide peace and joy and it was up to me to be sure to take it.  Thank You for Your unconditional love.  Oh how often I have needed and thanked You for it in spite of my failures.  Thank You for being with me today.  I love You Lord.  Thank You for Your peace and Your joy.

His mercies are new every morning.  Great is His faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:23

Thank You Lord for this wonderful Old Testament verse.  It is just as true today as it was so long ago.  Thank You for Your faithfulness.  How blessed we are to KNOW that You will be faithful and help us each moment of every day.  Thank You for loving us even when we are disappointed in ourselves.  Thank You for picking us up and helping us through those difficult times in our lives.  Your unconditional love for us calls us on to become more and more like You.  Thank You for Your peace and Your joy today.  We love You Lord and praise You.
