Thought For Today

(Jesus continued)  “Sell all your possessions, and give alms; provide yourselves with purses that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.”  Luke 12:33

Lord how you tug at my heartstrings with this verse.

I enjoy things and possessions.

I enjoy the beauty of lovely things that are possessions.

And oh how I realize how quickly they can be taken away.

I know I could do a lot better than I do with storing up treasure in heaven rather than on earth.  This is a wonderful verse Lord for me to meditate upon and ask Your help in obeying.

Thank You Lord for Your patience with me.

Thank You that You continue to call us to obey.

Thank You for Your help when we cry out to You.

Thank You for ALWAYS being with us to help us draw closer to You.

Thank You Lord.
