The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right. It is God’s way of making us well prepared at every point, fully equipped to do good to everyone. 2 Timothy 3:36, 37

Thank You Lord for our Bibles. Thank You for using them in our lives to keep us focused upon You and Your desires for us. Oh how fortunate we are to have them and we thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Jesus said …. I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn’t fragile like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 4:27

Thank You Lord for leaving us Your peace….yes, ‘peace of mind and heart.’ Thank You for reminding us that we need never be troubled or afraid. Thank You that we can call upon You for Your help. Thank You for calming us when we become ‘troubled or afraid.’ We love You Lord and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don’t forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this you will experience God’s peace; which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6, 7

Thank You Lord for showing us how to live and be at peace in the midst of the storms of life. After hearing Paul’s encouraging words about prayer yesterday and thinking on them all day my mind was drawn to this verse. I could hardly wait to write my ‘Thought’ today. Paul’s word to us are so encouraging. I too have experienced that peace that only Jesus can give in the midst of the storms of life. It is there for each of us as we let go of our worries and trust Him. NO, it isn’t easy. BUT, it becomes easier with practice. OH, the rewards are great. Oh how we thank You and praise You for Your peace and joy that is ours for the taking.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Paul continues…. Here are my directions: Pray much for others; plead for God’s mercy upon them; give thanks for all He is going to do for them. 1 Timothy 2:1

Thank You Lord for this verse today. I truly needed it. My heart has been broken as I have prayed and then heard outcomes that were not what I wanted to hear. I know Lord that has happened to all of us….and yet Paul tells us to ‘PRAY MUCH.’ Then he even tells us to ‘plead.’ And haven’t we all done that too Lord. But ….this is beautiful because this is where faith comes in….’give thanks for all YOU are going to do.’ PRAY…and… THANK YOU for what we have not seen yet. Those are the words of encouragement we need to keep us praying constantly. To keep our eyes upon You. To believe there will be answers that are not evident at the moment but are on the horizon.

Thank You for listening Lord and showing us the way.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Paul continued…. Glory and honor to God forever and ever. He is the King of the ages, the unseen one who never dies; He alone is God, and full of wisdom. Amen 1 Timothy 1:17

Thank You Lord for being our God …our King of the ages…and thank You for being full of wisdom.

Thank You for being with us today showing us the way. We are never without Your love Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Paul Continued…. How true it is, and how I long that everyone should know it, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—and I was the greatest of them all. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as an example to show everyone how patient He is with even the worst sinners, so that others will realize that they, too, can have everlasting life. 1 Timothy 1:15, 16

Thank You Lord that there is not one of us that isn’t welcomed by You. You love each of us and call us all to come follow You. When we give our lives to You Lord You taken our brokenness and use it for Your honor and glory. We love You Lord and thank You that when our journey on earth is over we will spend all eternity with You. Oh how blessed we are and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

How thankful I am to Christ Jesus our Lord for choosing me as one of His messengers, and giving me the strength to be faithful to Him, even though I used to scoff at the name of Christ. I hunted down His people, harming them in every way I could. But God had mercy on me because I didn’t know what I was doing, for I didn’t know Christ at that time. Oh, how kind our Lord was, for He showed me how to trust and become full of the love of Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 1:12-14

Lord I am so grateful for the change that happens in our lives when we accept You as our Lord and Savior. You promise us that old things will pass away and that certainly happens. Our faith in You changes our outlook and we are different. Oh how we praise and thank You for the love You pour into us to share.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Paul continues… As I said when I left for Macedonia, please stay there in Ephesus and try to stop the men who are teaching such wrong doctrine. Put an end to their myths and fables, and their idea of being saved by finding favor with an endless chain of angels leading up to God—wild ideas that stir up questions and arguments instead of helping people accept God’s plan of faith. What I am eager for is that all the Christians there will be filled with love that comes from pure hearts and that their minds will be clear and their faith strong. 1 Timothy 1:3 – 5

Thank You Lord for leading us in the right direction. Thank You for Your words to us in our Bibles that keep us on the right pathway. Thank You for ‘filling us with love that come from pure hearts and minds that are clear and our faith is strong.’ What a wonderful gift of love we have been given and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

To Timothy. Timothy, you are like a son to me in the things of the Lord. May God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord show you His kindness and mercy and give you great peace of heart and mind. 1 Timothy 1:2

Lord thank You for loving relationships. I love this writing. I can feel the love of Paul for Timothy. There is nothing quite like a parent’s love for their child and Paul loved Timothy like a son. Paul loved Timothy because Timothy loved the things of the Lord just as Paul did.

Thank You for those You put on our pathway today Lord.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

From Paul, A missionary of Jesus Christ, sent out by the direct command of God our Savior and by Jesus Christ our Lord—our only hope. 1 Timothy 1:1

Thank You Lord for the hope You give each one of us. Thank You too for Your call on each of our lives. Oh how blessed we are to know that You have a perfect plan for us. Paul knew You had called him to be ‘a missionary ….sent out by Your direct command.’ Thank You for Your guidance and directions today as we look to You. You are with us showing us the way and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.
