Jesus turned, and seeing her (the woman that touched the hem of his garment) He said, Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well. Matthew 9:22

Thank You Lord for Your healing touch.

Thank You for faith to believe and Lord sometimes we believe for the impossible and it happens.

Thank You for being there for this woman just like You are there for us each time we cry out to You today.

Oh the joy of knowing You and loving You Lord. We praise and thank You for our many gifts.

Thank You Lord.

And behold a woman who had suffered from a hemorrhage for twelve years came up behind Him (Jesus) and touched the fringe of His garment; for she said to herself, “If I only touch His garment, I shall be made well.” Matthew 9:20, 21

Faith…. What a wonderful gift faith is. We are told if we have faith the size of a grain of mustard seed we can move mountains. We are also told that we can ask for more faith. This woman had faith. She believed if she could but touch the hem of Your garment Lord she would be healed. She had been hemorrhaging for twelve years. Obviously she had tried everything she knew to get well. And then You were there. She knew You had the healing ability. She reach out and touched You. AND she was healed.

I love this story Lord. I have loved telling it to the little children because it encourages them to believe too. At their little ages they learn to trust and that faith grows and grows. I know because I was that little child of eight that learned of Your love for me and those are lessons I am thankful for today.

Thank You Lord for faith. Thank You Lord that we can trust You. Thank You Lord for loving us unconditionally. We are grateful!

Thank You! Thank You Lord.

And Jesus rose and followed him, (the ruler whose daughter had died) with His disciples. Matthew 9:19

Thank You Lord for always hearing our cries for help.

Thank You for this story and what it will show us about Your life while here on earth.

Thank You for showing us Your compassion as You follow this ruler to see his dead child.

Oh to have faith like this man that knew You were the answer. He knew You could bring her back to life and he went looking for You.

Thank You Lord for faith that believes in the impossible. We want that kind of faith and it is ours for the asking.

Thank You Lord.

While He (Jesus) was thus speaking to them, behold a ruler came in and knelt before Him, saying, “My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.” Matthew 9:18

Lord there were those that believed in You. Here was a ruler that had the faith to believe that even though his daughter had died if You laid Your hand on her she would live. What faith!

Thank You Lord for faith to believe.

Thank You for Your healing touch.

Thank You for Your love that is unconditional and free.

Oh how we thank You for our many gifts.

Thank You Lord.

Then the disciples of John came to Him (Jesus) saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast. But Your disciples do not fast?” And Jesus said to them, “Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? The days will come, when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast. And no one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch tears away from the garment, and a worse tear is made. Neither is new wine put into old wineskins if it is, the skins burst and the wine is spilled, and the skins are destroyed, but new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.” Matthew 9:14 – 17

Thank You Lord for Your words of wisdom.

Thank You for Your example.

Thank You for Your unconditional love.

We have everything we need in You Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

And when the Pharisees saw this, (Jesus with the tax collectors) they said to His disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” But when He (Jesus) heard it, He said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” Matthew 9:11 – 13

Lord, scripture tell us that we have ‘all sinned and fallen short .’ Thank You for coming to earth to redeem us. Thank You for helping us live for You once we have made the choice to follow You.

We have so many gifts that were freely given when we turned to You and accepted You.

Oh how blessed we are…..

Thank You Lord.

And as He (Jesus) sat at table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and His disciples. Matthew 9:10

Lord, it is very interesting to see the lives that You touched while You were on this earth.

You touched the lives of the tax collectors and sinners.

Tax collectors were despised in that day because they could charge whatever they wanted to. They had free reign so people didn’t like them.

You loved these tax collectors just the same as You loved those that didn’t follow You. The difference being that You saw their hearts and knew their thoughts and motives. You loved them just as they were but too much leave them as they were.

Thank You Lord for loving us and calling each of us to leave all and follow You.

Oh to be like You Lord. Full of your unconditional love.

We can be like You Lord as we continue to follow You.

Thank You… Thank You Lord.

As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax office; and He said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed Him. Matthew 9:9

Lord, You called Matthew the tax collector to come and follow You. And he immediately got up and followed You.

We too Lord are called to ‘come follow You.’ Thank You for Your call. Thank You for the interest and drive we Have when we answer Yes to Your call.

We love You Lord and want to be all that You are calling us to be. Thank You for Your strength and power.

Thank You Lord.

When the crowds saw it, (the healing) they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men. Matthew 9:8

Happy Easter. While today is Good Friday and the day of our Lord’s death we do not sorry because we know that it was only temporary.

Lord we pause to remember and thank You for dying for us. We remember the cross. We remember the cruel things that were done to You. We remember Your kindness even while hanging on the cross.

Thank You Lord for Your gift to each of us.

Thank You for coming to earth to take our sins upon You and pay the price for us.

Thank You for the peace You left when leaving this earth.

How blessed and thankful we are Lord.

Thank You Lord.

And he (paralytic man) rose and went home, afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men. Matthew 9:7

Thank You Lord that even though the paralytic man was healed You had told him to go home and he went home.

Thank You for obedient people that listen to You and obey.

Thank You that those same people listen to You and follow You. They can be counted on.

Thank You for making each of us different.

Thank You Lord
