He (Jesus) answered them, (Pharisees and Sadducees) “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather; for the sky is red.’ And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today; for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of Jonah. So He left them and departed. Matthew 16:2 – 4

Lord You have much to teach us when we are backed into a corner because we believed something different than the crowds. You left them. You didn’t try and convince them that You knew what the issues were. You left.

Thank You Lord for Your insight. Thank You for Your wisdom.

Thank You that Your love and joy are ours for the asking.

Thank You Lord.

And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and to test Him (Jesus) they asked Him to show them a sign from heaven. Matthew 16:1

Thank You Lord for seeing right through the intent of the Pharisees and Sadducees. You knew what they were trying to do and the net they were trying to catch You in.

Thank You for Your help each day when we need Your wisdom and judgment.

Thank You that You are only a prayer away.

Oh how blessed we are because You tell us to come to You.

Thank You Lord.

And they (crowd) all ate and were satisfied; and they (disciples) took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left over. Those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children. And sending away the crowds, He (Jesus) got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan. Matthew 15:37 – 39

Thank You Lord for Matthew’s account of Your feeding the multitude that had come to hear You. Once everyone ate of the abundance there was still food left over. How amazed those that were there must have been. They indeed had witnessed a miracle.

Thank You for giving us a day to stop and reflect on all our blessings.

Oh how great it is to know that You are always with us and we are never alone.

Oh how we thank and praise You for that wonderful gift.

Thank You Lord.

And Jesus said to them, (disciples) “How many loaves have you?” They said, “Seven, and a few small fish.” And commanding the crowd to sit down on the ground, He took the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks He broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. Matthew 15:34 – 36

Lord, and we know that crowd was about 5,000 men plus women and children. And You gave thanks for the seven loaves and the fish. Yes, it was a miracle as we will see when we read on.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the United States Lord and we thank You for all our gifts.

Thank You for the freedom to meet with family and friends to enjoy the day in comfort and peace.

We have been given so much Lord. They are Your gifts to us Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord! Thank You.

Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy each moment. My love and prayers are with you. God Bless!

And the disciples said to Him, (Jesus) “Where are we to get bread enough in the desert to feed so great a crowd?” Matthew 15:33

Lord You had just told Your disciples that You did not want to send the crowd home because they had been there without food too long. Now the disciples asked what we would have asked….where can we find the food when we are in the desert.

Thank You Lord that we can trust You with all the answers.

Thank You for knowing how to feed the crowd even though in the natural it seemed impossible to Your disciples.

Thank You for giving us the faith to believe.

Oh how we need You to guide and direct us. Thank You for always being there.

Thank You Lord.

Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days, and have nothing to eat; and I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.” Matthew 15:32

Thank You Lord for Your compassion.

Thank You for those that have compassion in this world today.

Thank You for each person that has had compassion and is helping the tornado victims in our area.

Oh how we need others in our lives and we thank You for the gift of compassion.

Thank You Lord.

And great crowds came to Him, (Jesus) bringing with them the lame, the maimed, the blind, the dumb, and many others, and they put them at His feet, and he healed them, so that the throng wondered, when they saw the dumb speaking, the maimed whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel. Matthew 15:30, 31

Thank You Lord for Your healing touch. How amazed everyone must have been as they saw what was happening right before their eyes.

Tuesday we experienced in a very small measure what these gathered before You must have felt like. They put the electrodes on Don to prepare for his heart procedure. The nurse looked at the heart monitor and said his heart was okay. We all praised and thanked You for Your answered prayers. Yes, that was how we had all prayed so why should we have been so shocked. You had answered our prayers! The excitement in that room was electrifying as we praised and thanked You and are still praising and thanking You.

Faith….yes, our faith is stronger….Trust….yes, we trust You more….Gratitude…..Oh how we thank You Lord.

Thank You for Your miracles today Lord. They are our gifts of love from You.

Thank You Lord.

And Jesus went on from there and passed along the Sea of Galilee. And He went up into the hills, and sat down there. Matthew 15:29

Lord, You had just finished healing many people including the Canaanite woman’s daughter. Now You were walking away from the crowd to a new place. You went into the hills and sad down.

Thank You for those moments in our lives Lord when we can sit down and reflect on our day.

Thank You for the times we spend with You.

Thank You that we can know that You are always there waiting for us to come to You.

Oh what a comforting feeling and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

And He (Jesus) answered, (Canaanite woman) “It is not fair to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” Then Jesus answered her, “Oh woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed instantly. Matthew 15:26 – 28

Thank You Lord for Your healing touch.

Thank You for faith that grows and grows.

Thank You for the comfort You can bring in our lives when things happen that we can’t understand.

Oh Lord it is Your power and Your strength that pulls us on.

Thank You!

Thank You Lord.

But she (the Canaanite woman) came and knelt before Him, (Jesus) saying, “Lord help me.” Matthew 15:25

Lord You were already in trouble with the scribes and Pharisees because You healed on the Sabbath. Now a Canaanite woman is begging for healing for her daughter. What will You do this time?

Thank You Lord for hearing our cries.

Thank You for always hearing us.

Thank You for Your wisdom that certainly sees more than we can see.

Thank You for Your power that changes us from the inside out.

Thank You.

Thank You Lord.
