Thought For Today

When the tempest passes, the wicked is no more but the righteous is established forever. Proverbs 10:25

Lord over and over we read about our life being eternal with You when we accept You as our Lord and Savior. What a wonderful gift that is. We will spend all eternity with You. Our world will be so different. All the evil will be gone. All the pains and hurt of this world will be gone. We will have perfect peace and joy. Oh how we thank You Lord for all that is prepared for us. Thank You!

What the wicked dreads will come upon him but the desire of the righteous will be granted. Proverbs 10:24

Thank You Lord for Your promises.

Solomon certainly was full of wisdom and we can learn a lot from what he has written.

Thank You for the many gifts You have given us that more than met the desires of our hearts. Certainly You have given us much more than we could ever expect. Your best gift of all was coming to earth so we could spend all eternity with You. Our hearts are full of gratitude and we thank You.

It is like sport to a fool to do wrong but wise conduct is pleasure to a man of understanding. Proverbs 10:23

Lord when we live like You want us to we are very wise.

Thank You for the Bible and all it teaches us about how to live and treat others.

Thank You for the gift of prayer. You invite us to come to You and we thank You.

Lord, Your gifts and blessings are many and we thank You for each and every one of them.

I sit at Your feet Lord to listen. I listen because I so often miss what I need to be thankful for so You have to remind me what they are.

I am thankful for Your gift of peace.

I am thankful You are always with me to bring me peace and joy.

How can I ever thank You enough Lord. You have given me everything and I thank You.

Lord words can make a great difference in our lives. Words spoken can be like choice silver especially when they are words that bring us closer to You.

Thank You for those that give us ‘words like choice silver.’

Thank You for the encouragers in our lives.

Thank You for those that lift our spirits and put a smile on our face. What a gift! What a joy.

Lord there is certainly a time to talk and a time to be silent. Thank You for helping us know the difference. That knowledge is another of our gifts from You and we thank You.

He who heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof goes astray. Proverbs 10:17

Thank You Lord for those that share their lives with us.

Thanks especially for those that show us things that will help us for our whole lives.

It’s often very hard to listen to our parents when they instruct us. It is especially hard as teenagers when we are trying to ‘spread our wings’. Often it isn’t until we are much older and look back that we see how good the instructions were. We treasure them at that point in our lives and they still make a difference.

My own mother loved You Lord and is with You today. She taught each of us 6 children how to love and trust You. Those lessons are still with me today and I am thankful.

Gifts! Great gifts! Yes truly instructions that are followed are the path to life and a life full of joy. Oh how I thank You.

The wage of the righteous leads to life, the gain of the wicked to sin. Proverbs 10:16

Lord what a wonderful gift it is to be able to live our lives and take care of ourselves. Wages certainly do lead to life especially when we can live within our own budget.

It is with a grateful heart that I thank You for taking care of me and providing for my every need. Oh sure Lord there are lots of ‘things’ I would love to have but do I really NEED them…… NO ….. You have been very good to me and provided my every need and I thank You.
