Thought For Today

The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it and is safe.   Proverbs 18:10

Thank You Lord for reminding us today what a ‘strong tower’ Your name is.  Thank You for ALWAYS being there when we call out Your name.  Oh… how I thank and praise You that I have experienced that power over and over.  You were and are ALWAYS there bringing help, comfort, protection and peace.  Thank You that nothing is too hard for You.  Thank You for this beautiful day to rejoice in all You are doing in our lives.  We love You Lord and praise and thank You.

This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.  Psalms 118:24

Thank You Lord for giving us another day to ‘rejoice and be glad.’  Thank You for the many blessings You provide for us each and every day.  We do rejoice in all You have provided for us.  Thank You most of all for Your unconditional love for us each day.  Thank You for loving us enough to pick us up when we fall and setting our feet once again on You…. our solid rock.  We are never without Your love and compassion and how we thank and praise You for Your ‘steadfast’ love.  Thank You for today and WE WILL rejoice and be glad in Your peace and joy today.

Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Matthew 11:28

Thank You Lord for ASKING us to come to You when we are ‘weary and burdened.’  Thank You for the confidence we can have in You when You provide rest.  Thank You for ALWAYS being with us to help when we call.  Thank You for the lessons You provide as You help us through each burden.  Thank You for helping us know You better and better with each trial.  Thank You for guiding us as we walk in faith with You.  We love You Lord and thank and praise You for our many gifts and blessings today.  Thank You for Your unconditional love.  Oh how we praise and thank You this very moment for our joy and peace.

O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You; I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.  Isaiah 25:1

Thank You Lord for this beautiful verse that tell us who You are.  Thank You Lord that ‘You are my God’ and YES, I WILL exalt You.  I WILL praise Your name, for You have done wonderful thing.  Thank You for being faithful and sure and doing all You had promised.  And now we wait for Your return to earth to take us to heaven to dwell with You forever and ever.  Thank You for that promise of long ago that we look forward to with great anticipation today.  We know it will happen in the moment when we think it won’t.  Oh what a day that will be.  We thank You and praise You for that event that awaits us.  And while we await that day we thank You for today and the joy we have in You.

And God will generously provide all you need.  Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.  2 Corinthians 9:8

Thank You Lord for giving us all we NEED.  Thank You for even providing MORE than we need so we can share what we have with others.  You told us ‘it is more blessed to give than receive’ and oh how true I find that.  There is great joy in being able to help someone in need or giving to just put a smile on a face that needs cheering up.  Thank You for blessing us with the joy of giving.  Thank You for helping us to be content and to thank You for what You have provided.   Our blessings are all around us and we thank You for each one.

Thank You Lord for the joy we receive when we follow You and Your calling on our lives.  Thank You for being our constant companion.  There is never a moment You are not there for us.  Thank You for only being a prayer away.   How comforting it is to talk with You in the quiet hours of the night when we can’t sleep.  Thank You for being there listening and bring comfort to our troubled hearts.  We love You Lord and thank and praise You for using us today to be a shining light for You.

Thank You Lord for Your protection.  Thank You for loving us unconditionally and watching over us.  Thank You for Your many promises You have given us showing us how much You love us and are protecting us.   Thank You too that we KNOW You are faithful.  We love You Lord and thank and praise You for the many blessings that are ours because of our love for You and Your love for us.

Thank You Lord for Your everlasting love that we can trust.  Thank You for being our strength and shield.  Thank You for walking and talking with us every day of our lives.  We are no stranger to You.  We are Your much loved children.  You care about us with a love that is unconditional.  Thank You for Your promise that ALL things in our lives will work together for Your good because of our love for You.  Oh how blessed we are today and give YOU all the thanks and praise for our peace and joy.  We love You Lord and are full of Your love for others.

Thank You Lord for the peace You provide when we read verses like this one.  YOU rule over all.  What have we to fear when we know YOU ARE in control of it all.  A smile comes on our faces as we look to You with trust and praise.  Oh how we thank You for Your peace and joy today.  We love You Lord and praise and thank You.

Thank You Lord for protecting us.  I have felt Your help and protection many times in my life and thanked You for being with me.  It was an awesome feeling knowing You were there ….watching over and comforting me.  Thank You for the peace that only You can give in the midst of the storms and trials of life.  You are there….You bring peace and joy.  Thank You for being here this very moment.
