A man without sense gives a pledge and becomes surety in the presence of his neighbor. Proverbs 17:18
Lord once again Solomon is warning his son not to make a pledge without knowledge of what that pledge will cost him.
Thank You Lord for teaching us to use our common sense or to consult those that know more about something than we do.
Thank You too Lord that You are only a prayer away. Thank You for Your help and answers. You are always there Lord and we thank You.

Why should a fool have a price in his hand to buy wisdom when he has no mind? Proverbs 17:16
Thank You Lord for wisdom. Solomon talks a lot about it and the value of it to his son. We all need to be ‘wise as serpents and gentle as doves.’ It is by walking and talking with You Lord that wisdom comes. We see things with new insights. Those ah ha moments come when we ask You for guidance. Oh how we thank and praise You for each one of them. Thank You Lord that You change us from the inside out.

Lord it is so hard to be around the kind of people Solomon is talking about in this verse.
I am so thankful that as a child I asked You to be Lord of my life and I began my walk with You.
Thank You for being with me every step of my journey. I am so fortunate that You never leave me but are always there. Oh how I praise and thank You.

Lord this is a grim reminder of those that are evil staying with their evil ways.
Oh how we thank and praise You for the changes that can happen in lives when they follow You.
Thank You for the changes that happen in our lives as we look to You for guidance and direction. You are ALWAYS there to help us change into Your likeness. What a gift. What a blessing. Thank You.

Thank You again Lord for Solomon’s wisdom. Wisdom that came from You Lord as Solomon’s gift. He certainly knew how to describe ‘a fool in his folly.’
Once again we are reminded of the joy of being a woman. Thank You for placing Your love deep within us so that Your love is there to protect our children. It is evident in the way the animals take care of their young ones too.
We have so much to thank and praise You for Lord. Thank You for being our creator and loving us with Your unconditional love.

Thank You Lord for feelings. Now I understand Lord why I am so tender when someone points out my shortcomings. It bothers me a lot. It causes me evaluate myself and to pray over it. Thank You for that part of me that longs to serve You. Thank You too for helping me change as I pray and seek Your will.
Tenderness is Your gift to us Lord and I thank You.

He who forgives an offense seeks love but he who repeats a matter alienates a friend. Proverbs 17:9
Lord to be able to forgive is a true gift. When offended by a friend it can take a lot of prayer to forgive. Our natural self doesn’t want to sometimes even when we know It would be best. Sometimes it is only possible by praying and knowing how You handled life while You were here on earth. On the cross You prayed…. ‘Father forgive them for they know not what they do.’
Thank You for friendships and the joy they can be in our lives. Thank You for forgiveness. Thank You for Your help and the confidence we can have in You. Oh how we thank You.
