Lord how sad it is when everyone turns away from us but the good news is You never leave us. You are always there. Over and over Solomon tells his son how others will disappoint him. I’m so glad we can count on You being with us Lord. You are a constant friend. Oh how we praise and thank You.

Many seek the favor of a generous man and every one is a friend to a man who gives gifts. Proverbs 19:6
Lord …. Solomon wrote these words so long ago and yet they are relevant for our lives today too. The verse says it all.
Thank You Lord that You that You love us all. You ask us all to come to You. You listen to each one of us You are there to teach us and help us love even the unlovely. Oh how we thank You for showering us with Your love and Your peace.

Lord one of the things as a parent you try and help your child understand is that it doesn’t pay to lie. My mother instilled that thought in me and I passed it on to my son. There were instances I observed where lying got the person in more trouble than if they would have told the truth. Lord that was Your lesson to me at a very young age. Also I knew if I lied it would not be pleasing to You Lord and I wanted to please You.
Thank You Lord for those wonderful lessons You teach us as children.
Thank You for Godly parents that love You.
I have much to praise and thank You for Lord and I do thank You.

Wealth brings many new friends but a poor man is deserted by his friend. Proverbs 19:4
Lord …. Solomon is telling his son to beware if he is wealthy because the friends he will gain may not be true friends.
Thank You Lord that You are our true friend.
Thank You for loving us when we are rich and when we are poor.
Thank You that we are never alone when we have You in our lives. You are always with us and I thank You.

Thank You Lord that when we follow You we never have to rage against You. Oh yes there are many things that happen in our lives Lord that we don’t understand and done like and we tell You we don’t like them. Thank You that we know You hear and understand. You are there through each trial.
Thank You for always being there to hear our cries for help.
Thank You for a peace that passes all understanding when we put our trust in You.

Lord the verse that comes to my mind is ‘Be still and know that I am God.’
The thought that comes to me Lord is to stop – learn – slow down – wait on You Lord. Oh how blessed we are that You want us to ‘be still’ stop…..listen ….. learn…… Thank You!

Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a man who is perverse in speech and is a fool. Proverbs 19:1
Lord we really are having a hard time today knowing who we can believe. One by one those before us are falling because of the exposure of their integrity. Certainly Solomon knew what to warn his son about. We are experiencing it over and over in our lives today. Mankind has not changed much over the years. The accusations are the same.
Thank You Lord for exposing those that we need to watch out for.
Thank You that as we trust You and keep our eyes upon You our integrity is in check. You guide. You direct. You show us the way and we thank You.
