No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel, can avail against the Lord. Proverbs 21:30

Thank You Lord that we can go to You for wisdom, understand and counsel. You show us the way. You are there to pick us up when we fall. You love us unconditionally. Thank You.

Thank You Lord.

A wicked man puts on a bold face but an upright man considers his ways. Proverbs 21:29

It is obvious Lord that Solomon wanted to keep his son away from evil people. Over and over he talks to him about the difference being evil can be in lives. He warned him over and over and often showed him how rewarding it was to be good.

These are our guidelines too Lord. We want to be more and more like You. Thank You for showing us the way.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

A false witness will perish but the word of a man who hears will endure. Proverbs 21:28

Lord….it seems that Solomon keeps telling his son to be honest. He was teaching him to always tell the truth.

Thank You Lord for helping us tell the truth. You are there to help us and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with evil intent. Proverbs 21:27

Lord ….I think Solomon was trying to teach his son that there would be people that acted like they loved You but really they were liars and imposters.

Today Lord we too can be fooled by those that are excellent actors. They say all the right things to win us over but they are wicked.

Thank You for the people that love You Lord and are honest.

Thank You for changing us and giving us a desire that longs to change into Your image.

We have much to praise and thank You for.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

All day long the wicked covets but the righteous gives and does not hold back. Proverbs 21:26`

Thank You Lord for the spirit of giving.

Thank You for helping us want to give…..give not only with our money but with our time.

Thank You for showing us who to give to.

You have the answers Lord and we thank You for showing us when we ask.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The desire of the sluggard kills him for his hands refuse to labor. Proverbs 21:25

Lord how sad it is when people don’t want to work.

Solomon continues to warn his son like my parent warned us six children…..’if you don’t work you don’t eat.’ Their warning worked for all of us. We all have enjoyed the work You called us to and provided for us.

You give each one of us gifts to use and working is one of those gifts given to all. We all have a very special place in this life. Thank You Lord for giving us the ability to work.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

“Scoffer” is the name of the proud, haughty man who acts with arrogant pride. Proverbs 21:24

Lord how can we take pride in anything when it is all given by You.

Thank You for each gift that blesses us and enriches our lives.

You are ALWAYS with us and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

A wise man scales the city of the mighty and brings down the stronghold in which they trust. Proverbs 21:23

Lord I love these positive thoughts that Solomon is instilling in his son. He is teaching his son how to be wise.

Thank You Lord for instilling Your nature within us. As we look to You and listen we too learn more and more each day.

What a gift and what a blessing. Thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

He who pursues righteousness and kindness will find life and honor. Proverbs 21:21

Lord….Solomon so often has warned his son what not to do. Now he is telling him how to live. How to be happy. How to enjoy his life.

Thank You Lord that when we know You this is how we want to live. These are the qualities You help us gain. Thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen.

Precious treasure remains in a wise man’s dwelling but a foolish man devours it. Proverbs 21:20

Lord ….I had to read another translation to see what this verse truly meant.

The Living Bible says, “ A wise man saves for the future but the foolish man spends whatever he gets.”

This is Solomon’s wisdom to help his son survive in his lifetime. What great advice for us too Lord. Thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen
