Thought For Today

Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, with trembling, kiss His feet, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way; for His wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him. Psalms 2:10 – 12

Lord …..thank You that we can take refuge in You.

Thank You for always hearing our cries.

Thank You for Your unconditional love that knows no limits.

Thank You for our lives and the peace that is ours for trusting You.

Thank You Lord.

I will tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are My son, today I have begotten you. Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron, and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” Psalms 2:7 – 9

Lord how wonderful it is to read how You were in control when this Psalm was written. You are just as in control today. You say to us today ….. ‘You are MY son/daughter today I have begotten you.’ Thank You for the comfort and contentment that brings us. Peace is ours. Our hearts are full of Your joy and we thank You.

He who sits in the heavens laughs, the Lord has them in derision. Then He will speak to them in His wrath, and terrify them in His fury, saying, “I have set My king on Zion, My holy hill. Psalms 2:4 – 6

Thank You Lord for being a just and kind God. Thank You for caring for Your people. Thank You for giving Your life as a ransom for us so we can choose to live with You forever and ever. You are our Lord and our Savior and we thank You for loving us enough to die for us. What a gift!

Why do the nations conspire, and the people plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and His anointed saying, “Let us burst their bonds asunder, and cast their cords from us. Psalms 2:1 – 3

Lord how wonderful it is to know You and to love You. You are in control of this world. You are there to hear our praises and You are there to hear our requests. We are so blessed and this verse reminds us just how blessed we truly are. Oh how we praise and thank You.

The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
Psalms 1:4 – 6

Lord when the day is over and we lay our head on the pillow how wonderful it is to reflect on Your goodness during the day. You were there guiding and protecting. You were with us each step of the way. Thank You for always being there to show us the way.

He (a man that delights in the Lord) is like a tree planted by streams of water, that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does he prospers. Psalms 1:3

Lord how thankful we are that when we follow Your leading we flourish. The Psalmist paints a beautiful picture of what it is like when we follow You. There is joy and there is peace as we keep our eyes upon You and listen to Your promises. We are blessed and oh so thankful.

Lord thank You for loving us. Thank You for always being with us. Thank You that we can come to You any time of the day or the night and You are there. Oh how thankful we are to know You as our Lord and our Savior.

Lord …David’s words say it all for all of us. We do bless You for all You have done and are doing for us. Our lives are in Your hands. You love us and know all about us. Oh how we bless You Lord and thank You.

Thank You Lord for Your angels. They obey Your word. They worship You. We read of them often in the Bible and are blessed by the messages they bring. Thank You for blessing our lives with them.

Thank You Lord for going to prepare a place for us to dwell with You forever.
