David continued ….. Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; lest my enemy says, “I have prevailed over him”; lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken. Psalms 13: 3, 4

Lord …. We can read how desperate David was for You to hear and answer him. He cries out to You ….‘O Lord my God’ in a very desperate state. We know the end of the story and know that he did live.

Lord it is so wonderful that no matter what our request is it is never too big or too small for You to hear us. Thank You for asking us to come to You. What a gift and what a blessing. Oh how we praise and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

How long, O Lord? Wilt Thou forget me forever? How long wilt Thou hide Thy face from me? How long must I bear pain in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? Psalms 13:1 – 3

Lord as we read these scriptures we can feel David’s sadness and longing for answers from You. He cried out and he waited.

Lord often we cry out and we wait too.

I’m so glad Lord that You know the beginning AND the end. We are only in the moment but You know the ‘whys’ in our lives.

Thank You that You are there all the time. You know. Your timing is the perfect timing. Oh how we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Do Thou, O Lord, protect us, guard us ever from this generation. On every side the wicked prowl, as vileness is exalted among the sons of men. Psalms 12:7, 8

Lord …..David continued to cry out to You. He looked around at all around him and couldn’t find You. Sometimes we wonder too when we look around. So much today is so hard to understand. Thank You for knowing and caring. Thank You for asking us to come to You. What a gift. Thank You Lord for always being there. We have so much to thank You for.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

“Because the poor are despoiled, because the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord; “I will place him in the safety for which he longs.” The promises of the Lord are promises that are pure, silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times. Psalms 12:5, 6

Lord … over and over we read how much You care about us. You see all and know all and help us through each situation and each challenge. Oh how we thank and praise You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

David continued…May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that makes great boasts, those who say, “With our tongue we will prevail, our lips are with us; who is our master?” Psalms 12:3, 4

Thank You Lord that You are always there to listen to us today just as You were there for David. No request is too big or too small to bring to You.

We love You Lord and thank You for another day.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

Help, Lord; for there is no longer any that is godly; for the faithful have vanished from among the sons of man. Everyone utters lies to his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak. Psalms 12:1, 2

Lord I’m so glad You hear our every cry. David must have felt all alone. He must have felt like he was the only one in his world that loved You as he did. He was certainly very disgusted with those that were around him and knew if there was any help it had to come from You.

Thank You Lord for being there when we cry out to You for help. There are times in all of our lives when we just have You to cry out to. I’ve been there Lord and You were my only comfort. Thank You for the peace that You alone can give us. Oh how we love You and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

On the wicked He will rain coals of fire and brimstone; scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup. For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold His face. Psalms 11:6, 7

Lord once again David has a thankful heart because he knows You are just and fair. He is rejoicing that You are righteous. David knew he would see Your face some day.

Lord …You tell us we can never know the time when You will return to this earth. BUT when You come again we will be with You for all eternity. What a gift and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and His soul hates him that loves violence. Psalms 11:5

Lord….thank You for peace. What a gift it is to have our whole being at peace. Just the word ‘peace’ brings a calmness over us. It is Your gift to us that love You and trust You with our lives.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

The Lord is in His holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test, the children of men. Psalms 11:4

Thank You Lord for watching over us.

Thank You for knowing all about us and loving us unconditionally.

Thank You for wanting the very best for our lives.

So many gifts….so many blessing are our because of You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen

In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to me, “Flee like a bird to the mountains; for lo, the wicked bend the bow, they have fitted their arrow to the string, to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart; if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalms 11:1 – 3

Lord over and over we hear David say that his refuge is in You.

Lord over and over we too thank You that our refuge is in You. Thank You for another day. Thank You for being with us each step of the way. We love You Lord and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Amen
