Thought For Today

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever.  Amen   Jude 1:24, 25

Thank You Lord for watching over us and helping us stay close to You.   Thank You for helping us be presented faultless at the end of our journey here on earth.  What a beautiful thought today to know that You are helping us each moment of our lives.  It certainly make me feel like Your much loved child.  Thank You for these verses that show us Your character and also show us how much You love us.  Thank You for doing all of this with great JOY.  WOW!  We are so, so blessed.

Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans.  Proverbs 16:3

Thank You Lord for establishing my plans.  Oh …what a mess I could have made of my life had You not ‘established my plans.’  Thank You for knowing what was best for my life.  Thank You for knowing what was and is best for me.  Yes….often I didn’t understand or even like what was happening to me but YOU knew what was best.  You KNEW what would draw me closer to You and help me trust and love You more.  Oh…how I thanked You for loving me and comforting me through those hard place in my life.  You promised to never leave me and You sure never did.  You were right there helping me through each difficulty.  Thank You for Your gift of Your peace that passes all human understanding.  Thank You for Your peace and joy today and the comfort in knowing that You will ALWAYS be with me.  I love You Lord and thank You.

The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?  Psalm 27:1

Lord when I read scriptures like this one I can’t help but thank and praise You for the peace and confidence in You that You give me.  Thank You for being the ‘light and salvation’ in my life.  I also have to thank You for all these years You have loved me unconditionally and drawn me closer to You.  I feel so blessed and so thankful for all You have done for me.  Thank You for being with me today and helping me through each moment.  Thank You for always filling me with Your peace and joy.  I am blessed because of You Lord and I thank YOU.

Thank You Lord for helping us each day to stay strong and not grow weary.  Lord there are so many things going on in the world and in our lives that we don’t understand and probably never will understand them.  The rock we can stand on is the FACT that YOU know all and see all.  Thank You for being in control.  Thank You for showing us the way.  Thank You that even though we ‘see through a glass darkly’ we have the assurance You are showing us the way.  OH ….how we praise and thank YOU for leading and directing us.  We thank You that peace and joy are ours because we know You are with us each step of our way.

Thank You Lord for filling our hearts with Your Living Water.  Oh that the world that need You so badly would be blessed just by us being in their presence.  Oh that they would see and experience Your love because our lives exude Your very presence within us.  Thank You for changing us moment by moment into Your likeness.  Thank You for giving us a peace that only You can give…..a peace that satisfies and calls us on to be more and more like You.  Thank You for our JOY today and the smile You put on our face.

Thank You for Your grace – grace as I think of it as Your unmerited favor.  It certainly is a favor that in unmerited.  We don’t have to do anything to merit Your love.  Thank You for loving us unconditionally.  Oh how blessed we are because of Your tremendous love for us.  A love that took You to the cross to pay for our sin.  Oh…how we thank and praise You. 

Then too…We thank You for our faith.  A faith that knows who and what You are and what You have done and continue to do in our lives.  It is truly Your gift to us.  We don’t need to work for it because You gave it freely.  Thank You for each gift and blessing.  We love You Lord and thank You.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.  Ephesians 2:8, 9

Thank You Lord for saving us.  Thank You for Your promises that remind us over and over how much You love us.  We see the word ‘STEADFAST’ connected to Your love over and over.  How blessed we get when we read that and realize what that means to us.  Thank You for the peace we have knowing Your gifts are given to us freely because of Your love that is unconditional.   Thank You for Your peace and Your joy today.  We love You Lord.  We rest in You and Your love.

Thank You Lord for Your help.  Thank You for showing us the way.  Thank You for ALWAYS being with us.  Thank You for taking our fear and replacing it with FAITH.  Thank You for another day to love and serve You.  Thank YOU that nothing is too hard for You.  We love You Lord and thank You for our peace and joy today.

Now to Him, who is able according to the power that works within us to do everything immeasurably far beyond what we pray or think of, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations for ever and ever.  Amen   Ephesians 3:20, 21

Thank You Lord that I can gratefully say I am one of those generations talked about in this verse.  Thank You for Your ‘power’ in my own life.  Thank You for ALWAYS being with me and helping me ‘to do everything immeasurable far beyond what I pray and think of.’  I thank You Lord that there has never been a time in my life that You were not with me and I can be positive there will never be a time You will not be with me in the future.  What a rock to stand upon Lord and oh how I praise and thank You.

Thank You Lord for being my God and my Saviour.  Thank You for showing me over and over how awesome You are.  I KNOW there is NONE like You and I praise and thank You.  I have experienced Your love and Your power in my own life.  I have seen prayers answered.  You love us with an unconditonal love and how I praise and thank You for that love.  Thank You for helping me remember the things of old that You have done for me.  Thank You for YOUR peace and joy today.
