Thought For Today

Make me to know Thy ways, O Lord; teach me Thy paths. Lead me in Thy truth, and teach me, for Thou art the God of my salvation; for Thee I wait all the day long. Psalms 25:4, 5

Lord how fortunate we are to be able to ask You to teach us and lead us. You are there listening and answering. We sit at Your feet to learn. You teach us as we read Your scriptures. You send those into our lives with the knowledge we are looking for. We ask and we receive. We seek and we find. We knock and the doors are opened for us with the knowledge that only You can provide. Oh how our hearts swell with joy and we thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Yea, let none that wait for Thee be put to shame, let them be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. Psalms 25:3

Thank You Lord for helping us remain faithful when the going gets tough. I think that is what David is talking about here. He wanted to remain strong so that others would see You in his actions and those actions would bring honor to Your name.

We love You Lord. Thank You for being with us today.

To Thee, O Lord, I lift up my soul, my God, in Thee I trust, let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me. Psalms 25:1, 2

Lord…like David we too lift our soul to You and trust in You. Thank You for Your protection and Your unconditional love. Thank You for today. This is the day You have made Lord and I WILL rejoice and be glad in it.

Who is the King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, HE is the King of glory! Psalms 24:8 – 10

Lord….David was praising You in this Psalm for who and what You are. You are the King of glory! We too praise and thank You for being the same God today that You were for David. We are grateful for Your strength and might too. This is Your world. You are the King of glory and we thank You.

Thank You Lord that we can be near You today. Thank You that we are a generation that seeks after You. Thank You for being the God of our salvation. Thank You that we continue to receive Your blessings each and every day. Your love surrounds us and fills us with Your peace….a peace that passes our own human understanding.

Thank You Lord for helping us have clean hand and a pure heart. Thank You for Your unconditional love that picks us up when we fall and helps us become more and more like You. We love You Lord and thank You for all You are changing in our lives as we look to You. YOUR Blessings! YOUR Gifts! YOUR Peace!

This is another Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein; for He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the rivers. Psalms 24:1, 2

Thank You Lord for our confidence we have in You. All that we have and all that we are is because of You. Everything belongs to You. You have given us much on this earth to enjoy and we thank You.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want; He makes me lie down in green pastures. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalms 23:1 & 5

Lord this is such a beautiful chapter. I wanted to think about the first verse and the last verse again. The gifts from You are too big to measure. You are our shepherd. You are everything we need or would ever desire. You are our comfort and we can rest in Your unconditional love. And if all of this isn’t enough there is even more. We are promised that we will spend all eternity with You.

My heart is full of gratitude and praise.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalms 23:6

Thank You Lord that we will dwell in Your house forever. Thank You for Your goodness and mercy that are following me every day of my life. What awesome gifts Lord. You are with me right now. You will be with me the next second too. I am never without Your presence. My heart is full of peace and joy.
