The crowd rebuked them, (2 blind men) telling them to be silent; but they cried out the more, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!” Matthew 20:31

Lord, there are times in life when others just don’t ‘get it’…. This crowd didn’t want to hear these men crying out to You. They didn’t want Your attention to be diverted to them. They wanted to hear what You had to say.

BUT this was a chance for blind men to see. I’m afraid I would be crying out at the top of my lungs and I’m sure they were a bit obnoxious too. Who wouldn’t be in their situation. This was their opportunity to see again.

Lord, thank You for placing within each of us the will to survive. We all know ‘absent from the body, present with the Lord’ and yet we still have the desire to live. These men wanted to live. They wanted to see.

Thank You Lord of the desires You have given us to survive. Sometimes it is a real struggle and yet we struggle and struggle to live. It is Your gift to us. Thank You.

Thank You Lord.
