He (Jesus) replied, “Elijah does come, and he is to restore all things; but I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not know him, but did to him whatever they pleased. So also the Son of man will suffer at their hands.” Then the disciples understood that He was speaking to them of John the Baptist. Matthew 17:11 – 13
Lord, I am not sure I understand this any better than Your disciples did. But I do know You were trying to prepare them for what was going to happen in Your life. As much as You continued to tell them they were not prepared for all that would transpire.
Thank You Lord for dying for us.
Thank You for giving us these scriptures to paint a picture for us.
Thank You for always being with us to encourage and strengthen us.
