Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and place my finger in the mark of the nails, and place my hand in His side, I will not believe.” John 20:24, 25
Thomas has been called ‘Doubting Thomas.’ Even today we hear his name used when someone doesn’t want to believe in something that everyone else knows is true. The other disciples were excited because they had seen You. They wanted to share this excitement with their friend Thomas. What a damper he put on their enthusiasm because he didn’t believe them. He had to see for himself.
Thank You Lord for the gift of enthusiasm.
Thank You for the joy of excitement over good things that happen.
Emotions are a wonderful gift and can bring much joy into our lives.
Thank You for this wonderful gift.
Thank You Lord.
