Thought For Today

Where there is no guidance, a people falls; but in an abundance of counselors there is safety. Proverbs 11:14

Thank You Lord for counselors. Often they help us see things within ourselves that we are blind to. Their God given wisdom encourages us to stay close to You and look to You for guidance and direction.

Thank You Lord too for the gifts You have given each of us. We are all different Lord and each of us has been given special abilities to help one another through life.

Thank You for each person in my life Lord that brings me closer to You and helps me through this life to bring honor and glory to Your name. They are truly Your gift to me and I thank You.

Thank You Lord.

He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing hidden. Proverbs 11:13

Lord thank You for Solomon’s wisdom and all we can learn from reading Proverbs.

How wonderful it is Lord to have a friend that can keep your secrets.

Thank You Lord for those on this earth that love us. Yes we can survive knowing You love us but we thank You for those here on earth that love us too. They are Your gifts. They are our treasures and we thank You.

He who belittles his neighbor lacks sense but a man of understanding remains silent. Proverbs 11:12

Lord this verse has always meant a lot to me because I am so vocal. There certainly are those moments when it is best to remain silent. It is horrible to be belittled and even more horrible to be the one that belittles. What would You do Lord….. What would You say Lord…..

Thank You for Your help and strength to withstand those that are not on our side Lord.

We are never without Your love….. You are there….. picking us up…. healing the hurts….. and we thank You.

By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. Proverbs 11:11

Lord we can learn so much by reading what Solomon has written. Thank You for his words of wisdom.

Our cities are made up of people. Oh that they would be full of those that love and follow You. It is then that the city is exalted.

Thank You Lord for each of us that love You and are a part of Your blessing to our cities all around the world.

When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; and when the wicked perish there are shouts of gladness. Proverbs 11:10

Lord, we do rejoice when we see Your desires carried out. That is what we pray for. That is what we that love You desire.

Thank You for giving us hearts that love You and want to follow You.

Oh how we need You and love You and thank You that You are always with us.

With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. Proverbs 10:9

Lord this is such an interesting verse for me because I love people and never want to hurt anyone. It is You I look to for help and guidance. It is You I want to emulate. Words are so important and certainly help or hinder a relations but not only that they can also help or hinder a person’s spirit.

Thank You Lord that You are there guiding us on to become more and more like You.

Thank You for Your UNCONDITIONAL love for us. Oh how we need You Lord. Thank You.

Lord thank You for keeping us from trouble. We are free because we are trusting You for guidance. Thank You for helping us follow Your pathway. Thank You for always being there to show us the way. You are our light and we thank You.

Solomon sure was wise Lord. Once again he tells us what happens to those that don’t love You.

Thank You Lord for everlasting life.

Thank You for being our Lord and Our Savior.

Thank You for the gift of living with You for ever and ever.

We have it all because of You Lord and we thank You.

Thank You Lord that we are delivered because we trust in You.

It is so amazing Lord how our lives are changed when we trust You and follow Your leading. Thank You for always being there for us. We are so blessed Lord and oh so often in my busy world I don’t see Your blessings. They are there Lord all around me and I thank You.

The righteousness of the blameless keeps his way straight but the wicked falls by his own wickedness. Proverbs 11:5

Thank You Lord that we as Your followers look to You for our guidance and direction to keep our ‘way straight.’ It is Your written word that shows us how to live. It is our prayers and guidance by the Holy Spirit within that help us keep our ‘way straight.’

As we begin this new year Lord it is with a grateful heart that we have been given another day to love and follow You. We love You Lord and sit at Your feet to listen. Thank You for always being there to teach and to guide. Thank You for Your unconditional love.
