Thought For Today

Be still, and know that I am God, I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth! Psalms 46:10

Lord how wonderful it is to be still and know that You are my God. To know that You are always with me. To know that You are always listening. To know that You love me with an unconditional love. To know that I am Your child and some day I will spend all eternity with You. Oh how I praise and thank You.

Thank You Lord.

Thank You Lord for the confidence we can have in You. In our weakness You give us strength.

Thank You for the wisdom You provide when You ask us to do something. You are there showing us the way and we thank You.

Lord thank You for those that agree with us in prayer. It is a wonderful gift to pray together and have faith to believe. Thank You for the confidence in knowing that You ALWAYS hear. Perhaps Lord we don’t always get the answers we want but we know they are the answers that are the right ones for us hard as they may be. You are ALWAYS with us to bring comfort and joy and we thank You.

Jesus said to her, (Martha) “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25, 26

Lord ….thank You for Your promise. Yes, we believe! Thank You for coming to earth and telling us how we can live with You for all eternity. Thank You for opening Your arms wide open for all to receive You. What a joy to be called Your child. We have it all Lord because of You and we thank You.

Lord we thank You for the many gifts that are ours because of You. Most of all we thank You for dying for us. You came into this world to give us eternal life. A life that will spend all eternity with You. Oh how we thank and praise You.

Oh Lord how we thank and praise You for Your steadfast love. Love that is always with us. Love that loved us enough to die for us. Love that brings us peace and joy. Oh how we thank You Lord. Thank You.

Lord we thank You that you are our helper. You are our rock. You give calmness to our souls. Your peace is with us. Oh how we thank You.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for the Lord sees not as man sees; man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” ! Samuel 16:7

Lord I am so glad You look on the heart. You know our thoughts. You know our motives. You know our desires. You know all about us and yet You love us unconditionally. Thank You.

Thank You Lord for the lasting joy that is ours for the asking. Joy that has no end. Joy that is deep within our soul. Joy that only You can give and we thank You for it.

This verse made me think of the little chorus I would sing as a child. ‘If you want joy ….real joy ….wonderful joy….let Jesus come into your heart.’ How true that has been over the years of my life and I truly thank the Lord I asked Him to come into my heart as a child. I can truly say today …. Thank You Lord for Your JOY.
