Thought For Today

For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence; He will cover you with His pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and buckler. Psalms 91:3, 4

Lord how we thank You for Your protection. Thank You for covering us with Your wings. Thank You for the refuge we find in You. You are with us 24/7. Oh how we thank You Lord. We are blessed.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, who abides in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” Psalms 91:1, 2

Lord how wonderful it is to know that You are always there for us. You are our strength. You are our wisdom. You are our rock. We need not fear for You are always with us. Thank You for always bringing us comfort and joy. We love You Lord.

But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where He lay. Matthew 28:5, 6

Lord….thank You for the beautiful day we had here in Central Illinois to celebrate the fact that You rose from the grave. Oh how wonderful it is Lord to know that we serve a living savior. Thank You for living for us and paying the price for us to live with You for all eternity. Thank You for Your unconditional love. We rejoice today because You live.

Lord ….we celebrate Easter because You rose. Yes You were crucified. Yes….You were put in the tomb…and YES ….You rose again. This is the glory of the Easter story. This is what we celebrate on Easter Sunday. Joy floods our hearts as we thank You for all You have done for us. Peace is ours because of You and we thank You.

Thank You Lord for helping us wait for You.

Thank You for asking us to come ….bring our requests to You.

Thank You for being a God of justice and calling us blessed when we wait for Your answers and Your help.

Truly we are blessed and we thank You.

Lord how we thank You for teaching us what we should say. Many times I have ask You to fill my mouth with Your words. I have asked for Your wisdom and Your understanding. Thank You for being there when we need You Lord. Thank You for showing us the way. Thank You for filling our mouths. Oh how we praise and thank You.

Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Colossians 3:23

Lord thank You for this verse that calls us on to let You guide and direct us. You are asking us to do all things as if we were doing them for You. You gave us Your all and are our example. Thank You for Your help and wisdom in helping us do all things heartily as if we were doing them for you …..because we really are …. Thank You for showing us the way.
