For behold, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never gave suck!’ Then they will begin to say […]

And there followed Him (Jesus) a great multitude of the people, and of women who bewailed and lamented Him. Luke 23:27 Lord, You were the innocent victim. You had not done anything and Pilate admitted that and yet he was willing to sentence You because the scribes and chief priests hated You and wanted You […]

And as they led Him (Jesus) away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and laid on Him the cross, to carry it behind Jesus. Luke 23:26 Lord what a sad picture. A murder had been freed and You were to die on the cross in his place as […]

But they (chief priests and scribes) were urgent, demanding with loud cries that He should be crucified. And their voices prevailed. Luke 23:23 Lord it is so hard to go against the crowd. This crowd wanted You killed. What was Pilate to do. Thank You Lord that You were in control and knew all things. […]

A third time he (Pilate) said to them, (chief priests and scribes) “Why, what evil has He (Jesus) done? I have found in Him no crime deserving death; I will therefore chastise Him and release Him.” Luke 23:22 Lord how interesting that even though Pilate could not find anything wrong with what You had done […]

Pilate addressed them (chief priests and rulers) once more, desiring to release Jesus; but they shouted out, “Crucify, crucify Him!” (Jesus) Luke 23:20, 21
Lord these men were ruthless. They were not going to give up until You were destroyed. You knew their plot. You knew their hearts.
Thank You Lord for loving us.
Thank You for calling even men such as these to Yourself and forgiving them when they turn their hearts over to You.
Thank You that You call us all to Yourself and it is our choice whether we say yes or not.
Thank You for waiting patiently for us to come to You.
Thank You for open arms of love that wait longingly for us.
Oh how blessed we are because of Your unconditional love.
Thank You Lord.
